£52,267 to £58,477 DOE

About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Headteacher to join our leadership team and play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the school. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, managing, and developing staff while ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and pastoral care.

Requirements

The Successful Candidate will have:

 

·         The ability to lead, inspire, motivate, and support pupils and colleagues.

·         Excellent organisational, presentation, administrative, and ICT skills.

·         A commitment to delivering high-quality education and supporting whole-school improvement.

·         Proficiency in data analysis and using data to inform instructional decisions.

·         Strong knowledge of curriculum frameworks, educational standards, and assessment practices.

·         Experience in conducting classroom observations and providing constructive feedback to teachers.

 

Qualifications & Experience Required:

 

Education:

·         A good Honours degree.

·         A postgraduate teaching qualification, including QTS.

·         Evidence of further relevant professional development.

Experience:

·         Prior leadership experience is desirable.

·         A proven track record of improving academic performance and/or pastoral outcomes.

·         Experience leading and collaborating with colleagues.

Personal Qualities:

·         A team player with strong leadership qualities.

·         A reflective and flexible approach.

·         Highly organised, energetic, and self-motivated.

·         A positive, enthusiastic, and imaginative mindset.

About the Company

Yarrow Heights School is a mixed 7-19, local authority funded, SEN day school for children, most of who are able learners with an EHCP and a diagnosis with ASC and associated needs.
