About the Role
Due to growth and internal progression, we have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and proactive individual to provide leadership and support to Learning Support Assistants under the guidance of the Education Leadership Team and Head of Education. This role involves overseeing LSA induction, appraisals, and training, and ensuring that the professional practice of our LSA team meets our high expectations. You will work closely with ELT to maintain high standards of pupil support, assist in classroom resource preparation, and occasionally supervise classes. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment and supporting the professional development of LSAs.
Requirements
Qualifications:
· Minimum GCSE, or equivalent, grade 4 or above in English and Maths.
· Experience working with children with special educational needs, such as autism, SEMH, and ADHD, is preferred.
· Training in aspects of SEN, i.e., ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, is advantageous.
Skills and Knowledge:
· Valid driver's license required.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and listening skills.
· An ability to effectively manage a large team of people
· High level of self-motivation and the ability to work on own initiative.
· Ability to work as part of a team and establish good working relationships.
· Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
· Ability to quickly build effective working relationships with pupils and colleagues.

About the Company
Yarrow Heights School is a mixed 7-19, local authority funded, SEN day school for children, most of who are able learners with an EHCP and a diagnosis with ASC and associated needs.
