Football Victory!
If you thought the return of the Winter Olympics was exciting, you should have seen this! Yarrow Heights School has been celebrating after two brilliant football wins from two different teams . Our Year 8 & 9 team and our Year 10 & 11 team both took to the pitch and came away victorious, showing fantastic teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout. Well done everyone! 👏

Meet Toby.
Pupils in primary and year 7 met with Tom and his guide dog, Toby, on Tuesday. Tom spoke about his life having guide dogs and the training that they take part in. We also learnt that when someone is with a guide dog and the harness is in an upward position the dog is working and should not be interrupted. Fire Safety Talk
Firefighters from our local station visited the school this week to share important lessons about fire safety with our students. They explained how to stay safe at home and in the community, then showed some of the equipment they use during emergencies, including protective gear and specialised tools. Students asked some fantastic questions and enjoyed getting a close look at the items that help firefighters do their vital work.
