Under The Sea!
Our Art pupils recently visited Bournemouth Oceanarium, where they gathered inspiration for future projects while exploring the fascinating underwater world. From colourful tropical fish to graceful sea turtles, there was plenty to spark creativity and encourage observational drawing. A brilliant day filled with art, learning and discovery! π¨π

Congratulations to Our GCSE Pupils!
A huge congratulations to all of our Year 11 pupils who have now completed their GCSE examinations! π We are incredibly proud of the resilience, determination and hard work they have shown throughout the exam period. Now it's time to relax, celebrate your achievements and enjoy a well-deserved break. We can't wait to see what the future holds for each and every one of you!

Primary STEM Adventure
Our Primary pupils had a fantastic time taking part in a range of exciting STEM activities. They put their problem-solving skills to the test, worked collaboratively on engineering challenges, and explored scientific concepts through hands-on experiments. It was wonderful to see so much curiosity, creativity and teamwork on display! ππ¬

Sports Day Success!
What a fantastic Sports Day! π
Our pupils showed incredible enthusiasm, determination and sportsmanship as they took part in a range of events throughout the day. From sprint races to team challenges, everyone gave their best effort and supported one another every step of the way. Year 10 Animal Care Visit to the City Farm
Our Year 10 Animal Care group had a wonderful day visiting the city farm this week. Pupils had the opportunity to meet a variety of animals, learn about their care and welfare, and gain valuable insight into real-life animal management. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that brought their learning to life! πππ

Visit to Winchester Science Centre
A fantastic day of discovery at Winchester Science Centre! Pupils explored interactive exhibits, took part in hands-on activities and learned about the world around them through science. A brilliant trip that inspired plenty of curiosity and excitement. π¬ππ

Year 10 Computer Science Visit Bletchley Park
Our Year 10 Computer Science pupils enjoyed an inspiring trip to Bletchley Park, the historic home of Britain's World War II codebreakers. They explored interactive exhibits, learned about the groundbreaking work of Alan Turing and his team, and discovered how early computing has influenced the technology we use today. A fantastic day of learning beyond the classroom! π»π

Football Victory!
If you thought the return of the Winter Olympics was exciting, you should have seen this! Yarrow Heights School has been celebrating after two brilliant football wins from two different teams . Our Year 8 & 9 team and our Year 10 & 11 team both took to the pitch and came away victorious, showing fantastic teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout. Well done everyone! π

Meet Toby.
Pupils in primary and year 7 met with Tom and his guide dog, Toby, on Tuesday. Tom spoke about his life having guide dogs and the training that they take part in. We also learnt that when someone is with a guide dog and the harness is in an upward position the dog is working and should not be interrupted. Fire Safety Talk
Firefighters from our local station visited the school this week to share important lessons about fire safety with our students. They explained how to stay safe at home and in the community, then showed some of the equipment they use during emergencies, including protective gear and specialised tools. Students asked some fantastic questions and enjoyed getting a close look at the items that help firefighters do their vital work.
