About the Role
The Learning Support Assistant plays a vital role in providing individualised academic, emotional, and social support for pupils and students with special educational needs. Working closely with teachers, the therapy team, and school leadership, LSAs help create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
This role may involve supporting pupils within class, across subject areas, in a designated tutor group, or during post-16 college placements. LSAs promote pupil engagement, independence, and confidence while ensuring that support strategies align with each pupil’s Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) and personal learning goals.
