
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support the pupil engagement team, modelling best practice
• Identify pupils requiring additional behavioural support through data analysis
• Deliver targeted interventions, including 1:1 and small group support
• Provide crisis intervention and support during challenging situations
• Support positive behaviour management across the school day, including unstructured times
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to re-engage pupils in learning
• Contribute to the development and implementation of ILPs and PBSPs
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model
• Monitor, record and evaluate the impact of interventions
• Promote pupil wellbeing, inclusion, and engagement across the school
Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
· Has experience working with young people, ideally within an SEN setting (ASC, ADHD, SEMH)
· Has experience leading or supporting a team (desirable)
· Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Is resilient, calm and able to respond effectively under pressure
· Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
· Is highly organised, proactive and able to prioritise workload
· Has a strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and pupil wellbeing
· Is passionate about making a meaningful difference to young people’s lives
Essential:
· GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)

Yarrow Heights School is a mixed 7-19, local authority funded, SEN day school for children, most of who are able learners with an EHCP and a diagnosis with ASC and associated needs.
