Royal Armouries - Fort Nelson 

(Rememberance Day Activity)

Pupils will be visiting the Royal Armouries at Fort Nelson where they will get to learn more about the Second World War and seeing the 'For Your Tomorrow - The People's Tribute' an installation of 1,475 life-sized silhouettes, created by charity Standing with Giants in tribute to the servicemen under British Command and 50 French Resistance Fighters who lost their lives on D-Day.

Holi Festival

Pupils will learn about how Holi is a major Hindu festival celebrated as the Festival of Colours, Love and Spring. It celebrates the eternal and divine love of the deities Radha and Krishna.

Solent Primary School STEM- Basingstoke

Pupils will have a day of discovery, creativity, and hands-on fun at the Primary Schools’ STEM Fairs! This high-energy event gives young minds the chance to explore the exciting world of STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) through interactive activities delivered by local businesses.

Southampton Synagogue

Pupils will visit the Southampton Synaogue to support their learing in Humanities and their development of tolerance of different religions as per the British Values.

EID

Eid al-Fitr is celebrated by Muslims worldwide as it marks the end of the month-long, dawn-to-dusk fasting during Ramadan.

EASTER

Pupils will learn about Easter, the importance to Christians and the symbolisim and traditions associated with it. 

There will be an associated Easter Egg treasure trail.

SPY TEAM CHALLENGE

The Spy team challenge is a teamwork game working on employability skills and how we can use them. Following a presentation, pupils will work in small groups to try and complete the spy challenge and show their teamwork skills.

Solent University Visit

Students and pupils will visit Solent University to hear about Higher Education and opportunities open to them.

Pupils in year 10 & 11, who live in the Southampton area, will visit this careers fair hosted by EBP to find out about different careers and colleges in the surrounding area.

Work Experience Week

Pupils in year 10 will be participating in a weeks work experience at a variety of different placements.
